About Me

I am an attractive, sensuous, hopeless romantic, woman (not girl) who is occasionally emotional, inevitably insane but no more than any other female! I have a big, contagious smile and a ton of energy! I laugh... A lot and I am a great fan of witty or silly jokes. I am very capable of using shock humour, crudity and appropriate swearing (thankfully not often!) and I am undoubtedly blunt!

I am very family oriented and have 2 lovely children.

I am ambitious and successful in my own right working in IT for a financial institution. This has allowed me to enjoy some of the finer things in life. I rarely talk about my job, partially because I am a little embarrassed by its association with the TV program the IT crowd. I'm creative and fun and looking for someone with whom I can have new experiences!

I moved to London over 10 years ago in search of adventure in a different world and I have to say it has been an acutely colourful journey so far! I love London and know it well as I used to take random buses to experience new places. Living in the capital (not in the centre anymore) is great because there's so much to do: I love going to see a play (I think Shakespeare is challenging and Beckett is absolutely terrific!) or going to a gig, or just seeing the sights. I enjoy eating out and trying out new cuisine, or simply sharing a good wine righting all the wrongs of the world! On the other hand, I love to cook; all the people I haven't poisoned yet say they really enjoy my food especially when I threatened them with seconds (no, really: I'm a fabulous chef)!

Music plays a large part in my life; I listen to everything from pop, R&B, rock, jazz to hip hop and world music. I am attempting to learn Spanish and Portuguese as I listen to a lot of music in these languages, and would love to meet someone who would help me learn.

I like to read and I am guilty of having read all sorts from George Orwell to Alan Moorn and wish I had time to read more. I especially enjoy reading curled up on the coach on a chilly/rainy evening while listening to jazz with the fire on.

I love to dance and fancy myself being quite good. I am however looking for someone who might be interested in learning the tango with me... Any takers? I promise I won't laugh and daddy dancers are more than welcome.

I like to swim and enjoy yoga, although I am a novice. I'm fortunate enough to live next to woodlands, because I find walking in nature relaxing. I also enjoy long drives in the country discovering little pubs as I go along.

About My Match

I'm looking for an independent, intelligent, easy going guy who doesn't take himself too seriously. I enjoy my company and don't want to be crowded. I would like a guy who doesn't require looking after all the time; someone who wants something serious and worth putting in the time. If you share some of my interest (optional) that would be great. If you have different interests from mine, I am open to trying and learning new things. I want someone who is happy resting from time to time and enjoys walking.
