I'm a genuine single guy looking for that special partner that put the magic of love and I can devote myself too and share the good and bad times, the wonders of people's artistic creation and experience this beautiful planet and the extraordinary intimacy and connection that only a man and woman in love can have.
I have never been married and I have no children.


about me.
I'm quite clean living and value outside activities a lot. I love to swim in the open ocean or in a clear mountain stream. Where I am living i know all the good fresh water and ocean swimming spots (even the secret spots). I love to body surf thats catching large waves just at the time that they start to break and using you body to fall down the wave and catch up to the speed of the wave so it carries you along for free. Such an exhilarating feeling!! Unfortunately due to my present location i don't do this much the Great Barrier Reef is offshore and prevents the surf waves from reaching the coastal beaches. Still we have the reef instead where we i get the chance (its a day trip out there by boat) I will go snorkelling or visit one of the offshore island near where i live. I love to walk and explore wild places using the tracks in national parks or walk the long beaches near where i live. A few years ago i did a 7 day walk on Hinchinbrook Island where I carried my own food for seven days. You walk from the north to the south of the island or vice versa and get dropped off and picked up by boat after walking from one end to the other of the island. There is no human habitation on the island just some camping grounds. Because the weather was very wintery i didn't see anybody at all except other walkers coming from the opposite way. Gives you a chance to experience life without the standard comforts and multiple and endless distractions we have in our every day life.

I Gave up cigarettes completely over 10 years ago. I don't use drugs and I don't drink much at all. Sometimes I have a glass of wine to be sociable with a meal. If I do I find that one glass really affects me because i am not used to it. i can enjoy that feeling. But i am not dependent to have it. At different times in my life I have done a lot of hatha yoga. I enjoy exercise because it keeps you healthy and you mind and spirit alive. Puts a sparkle in your eyes. I am not so much into gyms and competitive sport.

For recreation at home I play guitar (have been playing 40 years still learning) and was formally trained in classical guitar So i write and read musical notation. i used to teach guitar for a living for some years. I also experiment with digital photography. I love to watch movies I enjoy all types of movies but not so much the Pulp type of hollywood production block busters. I love foreign langauge movies and I often record them to watch later. We have an excellent multicultural television station that plays several subtitled foreign movies each day. Some of my favourite movies/ actors/ directors that come to mind easily are .... Blue Jasmine , O Brother Where Art Thou , Manon des sources, Jean du Claudette,Miss Potter / George Cluney, Gerard Depardieu Kate Blanchette, Renée Zellweger / Coen Bros , Woody Allen, Kurosawa, Stanley Kubrick. There sure are a lot of movies being made. The amazing creative output of humans never ceases to amaze and intrigue me.
When i get the opportunity I also like to visit art galleries and hear live music or concerts but as i live in a regional town these opportunities are limited compared to some of the bigger cities.

Amongst other things I really want to have some big adventures with travel or long voyage or journey before i die. I am interested to see the Pacific Islands. I have been to Tahiti Fiji(several times) and New Caledonia. I look forward to visiting Vanuatu Hawaii and the Cook Islands. I would also like to visit Europe again (to see all the amazing galleries and buildings) and maybe New York. Would love to visit night club and see some of my jazz heroes playing in a small intimate atmosphere.



I am financially independent but at present also committed to care of my elderly father. I have several business from my home and elsewhere. My commitent to my father's care ties me down somewhat. But if I am so lucky as to find what i think is the right lady I will organise to visit her or her to visit me. So we can begin to find out if this really is true .... My father is 91 almost 92 and he needs assistance with everyday things like preparing and presenting meals making bed. etcetera. We also have care giver but it is impossible to have someone 24/7 365 days of the year. In our country it is commonly accepted to put elderly in old peoples home. For some old people this ok or even good, but for my father it would not work out well. His personality and disposition does not suit this.So instead i care for him very well. I also cared for my mother she passed away 2013. To be honest this makes some difficulty perhaps with my future partner but it also creates some real freedom into the future . And hey my father is a very charming cultured man. Very respected and admired for his contributions in his lifetime. i am sure any woman that like me will love him also.

To anybody that writes or responds to me. Please be aware that when I am in contact with you I will also be corresponding and chatting with with several other ladies. (hopefully somebody likes me I assume nothing ^^). This is part of the process, otherwise if you did it one at at time with just one lady then another introducing your self to each other and learning if you do or do not like a person would take a a very long time . Of course if I decide to make a commitment to one lady I tell all others that I am "taken". I hope you will do the same for me. I don't expect you to tell me you are talking with other prospective partners I assume you are. And that you will treat me with courtesy if you decide to commit to someone.

what i am seeking.
I like the idea of falling in love with a foreign lady. And i hope it may lead to a happy marriage. I am not looking for Miss Perfect but I am also not willing to compromise too much on the things that I feel matter to me.
I definitely believe in chemistry in relationships. is so hard to say in terms of specific qualities I would like to have in a partner because if the chemistry is not there it is not going to matter. i guess I could say she has to be quiet living (without being boring) maybe voluptuous (Of course i have my own secret and unknown maybe even to myself preferences about her looks and personality this unknown helps to create the magic chemistry of attraction between us) she must be self motivated, creative have her own goals and orientations that some of the time perhaps might compliment mine, rather than someone who is a constant party animal, and very needy.
I think she would need to talk some English at least. The better her english is the easier its going to be. Of course I am willing to try but I haven't had much luck at acquiring foreign languages so far. It does not appear to be something I am good at.
I am not seeking a woman of any particular age culture country or race. I am open to all. though I have to admit the closer she live to my home country Australia the easier and more practical it is. But true love knows no boundaries they say. I am not concerned her about having a child OR not having a child. I do not as yet have any children of my own. This is not a priority to me. Maybe i am getting to old for child rearing. But i accept what comes. I have been step father to children in a defacto relationship and enjoyed it. I am open to women who have children but to be honest i perhaps prefer a partner who's children are mature rather than young. But again for the right person the woman i love I accept all that she has .So more importantly I'm seeking someone self motivated that loves learning and exploring ideas who is curious about the world. Who enjoys exercise for the benefits it give you but is not obsessive about doing it to obtain a certain look or physique. I'd like my partner to have established her self in some career OR be able to create one for herself say with some entrepreneurial skills OR be prepared to seriously undertake some training to gain formal qualification in some career. This outcome gives her some independence and confidence. I definitely don't want to have a 'kept' woman. Of course husband and wife support each other through good time and bad (not matter what !!) and do their best to help the other get ahead in their life and ambitions. When my partner needs me I will be there for them or I will assist them in any way I can to obtain their goals.
