About Me
I am in a state of metamorphosis. I used to do stand-up and write monologue jokes for "The Late Show". I have never fallen in love, but I've stepped in it a few times. But, I also believe love is a choice, not an emotion. Like ghosts, everyone talks of "true love", but how many have seen it? Rather, love is a decision, or a series of them. There will always come a time when things don't feel so good in a relationship---a winter, if you will. But, that is the time where the notion of love is most important and working through things and the like. Of course, I don't forsake attraction, chemistry, connection, etc. either. But love takes work. Anything worthwhile is not easy, so why is love any different? Cripes, I'll stop before I write a novella. The same things that make life great, are the same things that make it suck. This is one of my greatest life lessons. Ever expereince/notice that sometimes the various lessons, threads, and tangents in life interweave tragedy and triumph/blessings into one? Sometimes in the midst of hardship we can't know or see how something sucky turns into something for the best...if not awesome. Certainly, life is a karmatic crap shoot. It's all good, and to each his own. I've learned, and believe, that people are more similar than not when you really get down to the nitty-gritty. Some may call it a universal human condition. I call it life. After some time in Michigan, I find myself going back to school to supplement by BA degree. I'm in graduate school getting a Masters in Social Work and a Masters in Public Administration. I have learned to live in the present...not living in the past, nor the future.
