О себе

Dawn has come in Kani-Keli. I can hear a maki lemur family in the breadfruit tree, right outside. I draw the curtains for this occasional daybreak greeting; they freeze for a minute and stare at me through their hazel marble eyes before resuming their breakfast of bright green, fresh baby leaves. The promise that another good day is in the making.

I too am active in the morning :) Days often start praying, meditating, exercising, reading or studying, journaling. But I also know how to enjoy a lie-in.

For years, I wanted to always be first at Work and Life: I travelled for leisure, studies and work on 5 continents and countless countries. Meeting different cultures has helped always keep things in perspective and cultivate a love for people. Then I decided to mostly work. For years. Loved it. But now is the best time to make more room for Life again: that’s why I’m here, to meet You and found a family with You. Late start, you may think, rightly :) Well, some say the 50s are the new 40s…

At University, I studied literature, foreign languages, business administration. Then I worked several different jobs. Education is where I’ve decided to contribute. Helping minds - actually “trying to help”: lots of humility and patience are required here, he-he… So, trying to help minds learn how to think and act is the first way I want to look to the future; and it can be lots of fun.
I also invest and day-trade, a second way I look to the future - that of my family, this time. I love the philosophy of it, the research, the discipline, and how it helps develop temperament in all kinds of market conditions. Here again, humility is key. An added benefit is the opportunity to learn from some great investors on private forums: some brilliant minds out there, very generous with their knowledge.

Кого я ищу

I dearly prize patience, kindness, benevolence, creativity, courage/grit. Also important are curiosity and the will to learn throughout life: I really won’t mind if you are much smarter than I am. You preferably have had a formal education, or at least work at something you love. Good English (or French) is almost a must: I’m interested in many things and hope for meaningful conversations between us.

Friends say I’m flexible and easy to live with, so I’m confident we’ll create common cultural ground for characters and personalities to flourish. And I won’t ever try to change you. But as I was brought up by kind and loving parents with strong values and ethics, I expect us to do the same for our children.
