О себе

I'm an Australian living in Sweden, a genuine down to earth person and like to get along with people. I am open and fair minded, a self starter, adventures, loyal, clean, calm, independent, domesticated, and a little old fashioned. I strongly believe in equality and do not tolerate injustices, and I like to listen and to lend a voice to those that may not be heard. I feel there are no obstacles or situations that cannot be worked through, if we communicate. I can be easy going, light-hearted with a good sense of humour, however also can be serious, apply myself, be decisive, set a course, achieve goals and am not afraid to show emotions and provide emotional support. I have a soft heart, told I can be quite charming, intelligent and can easily laugh at myself.

I like the outdoors, anything with water, camping, hiking, canoeing, DYI, renovating and fixing most things mechanical/electrical and working with people. I have a scientific & engineering mind with a wide appetite for learning and a sense of curiosity / interests for most things. I believe in nature & sustainability, appreciate the arts, am naturally inquisitive and pay attention to both the big picture and the small details that help glue things together…..Life has taught me to be resourceful, innovative, adaptive, responsible and dependable. I'm genuinely interested in people, I like to be helpful to others, encourage and contribute where I can.

I have travelled a majority of my life due to the nature of my profession…. Kyrgyzstan, Bulgaria, Sweden, Algeria, Botswana, Namibia, Tanzania, Uganda, Papa New Guinea, Mozambique, Mauritania, Turkey, Finland, Spain, US, Canada, Australia to name a few. However I have always wished to build a home and hopefully enjoy the familiarity, security and closeness that comes with family (never married, no children). I would enjoy getting to know that someone special and would like to meet someone that may like to do the same; to explore life together as equals and companions in life and love.

I understand and appreciate there can often be more than the two of us on our journey, and I am open, supportive and comfortable with children, extended families and friends. And, I have a tendency to do things for people, friends and family; help where I can; contribute if I can; encourage within my ability.

Like many I presume, it has taken considerable time, thought and reflection before deciding to upload my profile, accordingly I have done so with good will, optimism and with a light of heart. I have decided to trust this process and to take a chance; my intentions are honourable, sincere and respectfully genuine. For my part, I shall earnestly endeavour to build trust, openness and friendship first with whomever I meet on this journey, and I can appreciate that not all journeys can lead to love (chemistry & compatibility), and so I also sincerely welcome finding new friends.….
