我眼中的自己

I am a fairly independent person who has their life together, no debt other than a mortgage, steady employment and single. I work from home, enjoy cooking, traveling; road trips, domestic and international site seeing, camping, and fishing. I am fairly religious and do attend church on occasion, which is an important part of my personal life.

Friends and family would say I am laid back and easy going, I like to focus on the simple things in life and try not to let life get me down. I love music, singing, recording and listening. Among my hobbies I home brew both beer, ferment mead and occasionally wine. I love to cook and spend time in the kitchen where I find it relaxing and a way to unwind while listening to 80s or 90s alt rock or jazz.

As a middle aged man I am looking for a lifelong partner, someone who I can share my life with and lean on through the good and bad that life throws at you. I want to take things slow, learn to know another person and see where things take us.

I look at several things. How good of a listener they may be and also how much empathy they may show. I feel that good listeners and those who show concern, care and empathy tend to be more respectful of others and these are key qualities for me. It also helps when resolving conflict or spurring conversations.
