我眼中的自己

My therapist called me a "bargain basement Dave Grohl;" but I think of myself more as the human equivalent of a "rescue:" damaged, but full of love and loyalty for the woman who will treat me right. I grew up in a cold society in cold New England, my life has been a struggle with depression, neglect, anxiety, alcoholism and most recently, Lyme Disease.

All that said, I surprise myself with my resilience: I wake up every morning and apply myself to my physical, mental and spiritual health, as well as my work, my small part towards making the world a better place than I found it. I have learned to appreciate my strength in the face of all obstacles, to have compassion for myself and all those who are struggling in this crazy world.

I work as a CPA/accountant, currently part of the year in the USA, part in Mexico, but have options for working remotely from anywhere year-round. I could not support a family in the USA on just my income, but there are many places in the world where that would be possible. However, when I say family - I am not looking to have my own children at this point in my life: but I would do my best to help raise any children my future partner may have.

我理想的对象

Above all, I am looking for someone who is a unique and interesting person in her own way. Doesn't matter if she is more intelligent or accomplished than I am - as long as she is someone who thinks of relationships as a collaboration, not a competition. Compassion and patience are required.
