About Me

I’ve been a widow for a little over a year, and I’m finally ready to see what’s out there. Some people say it’s too soon, but life isn’t slowing down and neither am I. My friends and family describe me as caring and loyal — after spending 15 years of my adult life caring for a sick family members, I’ve earned that compliment.

I’ve worked at the same job for 24 years. It can be demanding, but it’s been good to me, and I’m hoping to retire in about 4½ years. I hit the gym three times a week and do my best to stay in shape. When I’m not there, I’m usually grabbing dinner and drinks with friends or working in the yard.

Weekends are for bonfires, live music, and anything relaxing. I go to church on Sundays, if you don't go to church that is fine. I love grilling, cooking, and traveling whenever I get the chance. I don’t have kids, but I do have two crazy cats who keep things interesting.

I’ve got a sarcastic sense of humor and love pulling jokes on friends and family. I’m the kind of person who takes a little time to get to know — first impressions don’t tell the whole story. I’m happiest around water: lakes, beaches, rivers. I’ve got a couple of kayaks ready to go. And yes, I enjoy a good movie night on the couch with some wine.

What I’m Looking For

**I am not a rich man so if you are looking for a man that is rich I am not the man for you. I do however live comfortably. I own my house and I am debt free. I have no children and I am too old to want to have new babies. If you have a child that is fine. If you come here it would be nice for both us to work so we can afford new experiences and travel.

I’m looking for a woman who enjoys the outdoors — beach days, kayaking, bonfires, all of it. Someone who can also dress up and enjoy a nice dinner out. I love going to see local live music, having a few drinks, and just hanging out.

She should be open‑minded and comfortable around people from all walks of life. My friends range from straight‑laced professionals to the fun, wild ones — all good people. I’m hoping to meet someone who isn’t judgmental, who’s caring, loving, and faithful. Hard qualities to find these days, it seems, but I’m still optimistic.
