About Me
I'm on the Board of a local non-profit that raises and distributes funds to organizations like schools, adaptive recreation, senior living, food aid, and outreach centers. I'm paid nothing, and it's hands down the second most rewarding work I've done my whole life. I also peddle my art, but that's less interesting than the volunteer gig, right?! For the last decade I've lived in a very small home, in a very small town, thriving, weather permitting, as an urban farmer of sorts. I spend my days gardening, maintaining & improving my home and food jungle, raising rabbits, chickens, and humans, canning, making art, BBQing, building furniture, and doing yoga. I have two kids at home, 15 and 16, who are amazing, intelligent, artistic, musical, creatures....and drive me crazy at least once a week. That said, I'd love to have more kids and ride the rollercoaster all over again. (MOST rewarding job of my entire life.) I love being outdoors the majority of the time.
I like learning new skills, and since buying my home have tackled all my own plumbing, tiling, window installs, fencing, decking, landscaping, finish carpentry, painting, and furniture building. I live well below my means, and consciously keep my lifestyle as sustainable as possible. I've been separated for a decade. I would absolutely relocate for the right person, right adventure, or right opportunity.
About My Match
Someone who wants to get filthy working all day, whether that's dirt, paint, axle grease, sawdust, metal shavings or whathaveyou, and then just gel into a puddle of good conversation, to decompress. Who likes camping, sightseeing hikes, road trips, and listening to the oceans.
