About Me

I’m looking for something increasingly rare: a relationship where two people genuinely choose each other and build a life together.

I live in Basel, Switzerland, and work in technology and AI. I’m intellectually curious almost to a fault — I can happily disappear down rabbit holes involving science, history, technology, cultures, languages or some obscure idea I discovered the night before. But underneath all of that, I’m actually quite relationship-oriented. Having someone to come home to, share experiences with, travel with, cook with, talk late into the night with, and eventually grow old with matters much more to me than accumulating achievements.

I’m independent and have built a good life for myself, but I don’t particularly want life to remain a solo project. I’m looking for a life partner: someone affectionate, emotionally open, curious, feminine in her own way, and capable of both closeness and independence. I value kindness and warmth enormously, but also intelligence and someone who has her own thoughts rather than simply agreeing with mine.

Personality-wise, I tend to connect especially well with intuitive, empathetic people. If you know MBTI, INFJ, ENFJ and ENFP personalities often have qualities I’m drawn to — but I’m much more interested in the person than four letters.

I’m not looking for perfection, and I certainly can’t offer it. I can be intense about things I care about, sometimes spend too much time inside my own head, and I have learned that a lasting relationship requires much more than simply falling in love. Communication, trust, loyalty, affection and consciously choosing one another matter.

I’d like to meet someone who genuinely wants a committed relationship if we discover that we’re right for each other. I’m open to meeting someone from another country or culture; where you were born matters much less to me than whether we understand each other.

About My Match

I’m looking for a woman who wants a genuine life partnership — not simply dating indefinitely, but building the kind of relationship where two people become each other’s closest person.

I’m especially attracted to warmth, empathy, curiosity and emotional depth. I like women who are affectionate and caring, but who also have their own mind, interests and ambitions. Someone with whom I can have a serious conversation one evening, be completely silly the next, travel somewhere unfamiliar, cook together at home, and still enjoy doing absolutely nothing together.

Emotional openness is important to me. I want us to be able to talk about what we feel, including when something is difficult, rather than slowly becoming strangers to each other. Affection, loyalty, trust and physical intimacy all matter to me.

If you know MBTI, I often find myself particularly drawn to INFJ, ENFJ and ENFP personalities. I seem to connect well with intuitive, empathetic and emotionally expressive people. But those four letters certainly aren’t a requirement — chemistry and character matter much more.

I don’t expect you to have exactly the same interests, background or culture as me. In fact, I enjoy differences when there is genuine curiosity about each other’s worlds. What matters is that we share some fundamental values and both want to invest in the relationship.

Ultimately, I’m looking for someone who wants to be my lover, best friend and partner in life — and who is looking for the same in me.
